Water Wells campaign in Africa
Embrace Relief Foundation initiated “Water Wells” campaign to ease the difficulty of obtaining drinking water in Senegal, Niger, Somali, Chad and Cameroon. The droughts worsen and even drought-resistant camels are beginning to die. The death of the camels is an alarming sign that other less resistant wild life are in greater danger. It is clear that the living conditions are unbearable in a place where wild animals who are accustomed to extremely hard conditions die. This is even worse for people living in these regions because they have almost no drinking water. As human beings we should keep helping those who are in need. The locals living in these regions cannot even obtain clean water, let alone drinking water, due to droughts, lack of infrastructure and past conflicts. We started the water wells campaign in May 2013. Embrace Relief plans to open 20 water wells by the end of the 2014.
