On February 10th, 2024, in celebration of Turkish culture and cuisine, the Turkish American Society of Ohio (TASO) recently hosted its famous “Cooking Show” event at their cultural center. This unique gathering focuses on a different Turkish dish each time, offering participants not only the chance to enjoy a delicious dinner together but also to learn about the rich traditions behind the cuisine. Attendees experienced a live demonstration on how to prepare the featured dish – “Tantuni”, followed by a talk on its cultural significance. The event has become a key activity for bringing together the central Ohio Turkish community and its neighboring communities, providing a friendly atmosphere for laughter, meeting new people, and cultural exchange.
